Actually, the only way we can get to Free Will is with
the Multiverse.

Seriously. A photon is everywhere, right? Everywhere
it has the potential to be. And even time has no meaning
to it.

Time and space mean nothing to the photon.

But, you move through time, in relation to some distant
world, both backwards and forwards, interacting with
photons, changing WHERE THEY ARE or where they can
potentially be, altering reality itself.

Unless it's all preordained. In which case all your motion,
all your movement through time, in relation to a distant
world, is just putting everything where it's supposed to be.

You were DESTINED to do that.

You had no free will and never did.

So the Multiverse fixes this. You can choose. Your
consciousness flows into whatever version of the
universe corresponds with your choices.

ALSO...

Erase time. If there's no time, if there's no "Before" and
"After," then you could have chosen. Everyone could have
free will. And reality is just those instantaneous choices
spread across this thing called time. Kind of like how all
the words of a printed page go on all at once, but we read
them one at a time. They all appeared at once, we just
can't experience them that way.

The printed page only makes sense to us experiencing
one word at a time.

Oddly. I think both answers are correct. Everything did
happen all at once. The universe was created all at once,
with everything existing not only in every state it will
experience but every POTENTIAL state.

So, the Multiverse is real. Time is an illusion.
